Hello and welcome to ImageDna. This site is the website of photographer, digital artist, and writer, Steve Marton.
I am in fact, Steven Marton, and I'm going to be speaking about myself in the third person for some reason; anyway, here goes.
Steve's background is that of self-taught artist and photographer. Steve began his artistic adventure late in the final quarter of the twentieth century, with a "anything goes" approach - mixed media basically - which had mixed results and didn't last long at all. Oil paint and canvas followed shortly after, and was a very fruitful period, followed by the digital age even later again in the twentieth century.
Having taught himself most things digital - photoshop, illustrator, html etc - Steve worked for a number of years as a freelance designer before deciding it wasn't for him, and moved into 3D software and photography, which is where he is at this point. However, he still occasionally accepts the odd logo and web design assignment for friends. As a photographer, he's been shooting landscapes and people since late 2006, and uses a Canon EOS 400D digital SLR, along with a variety of lenses and filters. He uses Adobe Photoshop, and Adobe LIghtroom for all his photo editing, and uses Manfrottto monopods and tripods.
For the short time that he's been a photographer, Steve has been commissioned for a variety of assignments, including wedding photographer, portraiture, and other more esoteric assignments. Please don't hesitate to contact him for assignments, whether photographic, design or otherwise, or simply just to comment on his work. He's very lonely and loves to get correspondence, he really does. Before this introduction concludes, I should mention that Steve assisted in the filming of a locally produced movie called "Sticks and Stones"
It's a short feature - 60 minutes runtime - and had its debut screening at the Belgrave Cameo theatre in Melbourne, Australia on March 6th '08. He worked under the titles; "Assistant Director" and "Boom Mic Operator". The film will be re-screened at the same theatre on April 9 '08 before it moves on to the Festival circuit both here and overseas. So that's nice I suppose.Warning: There is nudity in the galleries, so unless you're "hip", you'd best be on your way.
